Manchester United midfielder, Christian Eriksen, has said he was happy for Anthony Elanga after the forward left Old Trafford this summer.

DAILY POST reports that Elanga recently left Man United to join Premier League side Nottingham Forest on a permanent transfer.

Speaking with United Review ahead of Man United’s Premier League tie with Forest on Saturday, Eriksen said he was not playing for the Red Devils, adding that it was tough for him at Erik ten Hag’s side.

“I am happy for him [Elanga],” Eriksen said. “Of course, he was not playing and not being involved and I know how tough that is.

“So I am really happy for him. I hope he can really have a big success there. He’s earned it.”

He added, “I mean he is always training, training hard, working his everything off to try to be better. Hopefully, he can continue that at Forest.”
