Dannielynn Birkhead Plays Matchmaker for Single Dad Larry Birkhead

Larry Birkhead, a single father who gained custody of his daughter Dannielynn Birkhead after the tragic passing of her mother Anna Nicole Smith, has been making headlines lately for his daughter’s attempts to set him up with a new love interest.

Despite being a devoted father and focusing his energy on raising his daughter, Larry has shared that Dannielynn has been vocal about wanting him to find love again. In fact, she even tried to set him up with a date for the Barnstable Brown Gala over a year ago.

“When I was leaving, Danni said, ‘Would you do me a favor at the party … Would you get yourself a date?'” Larry shared with Us Weekly in 2016. “I looked at her and started laughing, and she said, ‘No, really, I’m serious. Get a date.'”

Recently, Dannielynn has been taking her matchmaking skills to the next level by trying to set her dad up with her friends’ single moms. Larry shared a funny story with ET about a pool party where he was the only dad present. Feeling a little out of place, Dannielynn came to the rescue by trying to play matchmaker.

“Dannielynn comes along, takes my foot, and slides it next to the mother’s foot next to me. She says, ‘Y’all need to get to know each other,'” Larry recounted. While the situation may have been a little awkward, Larry didn’t mind his daughter’s attempts at all. “It’s cute,” he said.

As a single dad in his early 30s, Larry has made it clear that his priority is being a hands-on father to his daughter. However, it’s clear that Dannielynn wants to see her dad happy and in love again. Who knows, maybe one of her matchmaking attempts will lead to a successful relationship for Larry.
