What do you get when you cross a 1920s-inspired Art Deco theme with bohemian elements? Cait + Phill’s wedding in the Catskill Mountains in New York! Drawing inspiration from their respective childhoods — they both grew up in rural natures and constantly explored nature, the two wanted to incorporate a “barn party” bohemian feeling, with the elegant aesthetic of the Roaring Twenties. How did they manage to do that? First off: MUSIC! By incorporating jazz age nods into the cozy countryside, along with touches of gold, and lots of florals, C+P’s big day definitely felt just like that: bohemian meets Art Deco.
Cait shares Having our wedding at a property that we simply had all to ourselves for a weekend really enabled us to make our wedding about the two of us. We brought in and designed everything ourselves, with the help of our planner, A Charmed Affair! So every detail was chosen by and reflective of us.
Ready to see how they fused the two themes together? Let’s look (really more *admire*) the photos by Lauren Fair Photography!
Rose gold and utterly gorgeous…
There were so many memorable moments. Some of the most memorable were during our “first look” portraits on the trails to Kaaterskill Falls in Catskill Mountain Park where Phill and I hiked around for our pre-ceremony photo shoot. Kaaterskill Falls is a special place for us already and exploring there all dressed up for some beautiful shots and bonding made us feel super close heading into the ceremony/reception craziness.
Cait absolutely dazzled in her gown by Carol Hannah from Lovely Bride Philadelphia. And how glam is that long, sweeping veil?!
Ombré macramé + balloons with cheeky phrases… Does it get any better than this? Love these balloons as much as we do? Here is the link to them + other colors!!
That golden space!!
YES, YES, YES. That arch with all the florals by The Green Cottage + the all the candles… Talk about dreamy!

The bridesmaids all donned peachy pink hues. Want a similar look?
Meanwhile, the groom rocked one ultra-cool suit from J.Crew.
True Beauty Marks kept Cait looking glam all day.
Organization is important — definitely have others in charge of ensuring the actual wedding day runs as smoothly and seamlessly as possible. Then don’t sweat the small stuff on the actual day… of course everything is guaranteed to NOT go according to plan and that’s sometimes the beauty of it! Focus on having a blast with your partner. Have fun with your celebration and focus on whatever are the most important aspects to you two!
Greenery + accents of white and gold decorated the table.
What better goodie bag than one filled with s’mores?! Want to do something similar? Check out the Gourmet S’more Favors DIY we put together!
So cute + the crescent moon photo definitely harkens back to the ’20s. Hats off to you, Cait + Phill!!
