A Sweet Baby Shower With Modern-Boho Details

How do you throw a baby shower for someone who’s full time job is to create day in and day out? Momma-to-be, Alexis, is the creative genius behind The Shift Creative, a design + styling business right here in Southern California. Her friends had the intimidating task of planning her baby shower but—perks of working in the arts!—Alexis’s “friendors” stepped up to the plate to help build a celebration that goes WAY beyond Pinterest-worthy!

Alexis couldn’t help getting in on the planning fun, as well: What’s a party without a photo backdrop? I decided I wanted to have my hand in at least one design detail, and since installations and backdrops are my speciality, I created a wood backdrop with diamond designs and splattered paint. It was so much fun to execute! Special thanks to my girls Tiffany and Lauren for all the coordinating and Ally for snapping such pretty photos! This baby is already so loved!
