u-blox Unveils NEO-F10N: The Latest Advancement in Positioning Technology

Zurich, Switzerland – u-blox, a leading provider of positioning and wireless communication technologies, has recently announced the release of its newest positioning module, the u-blox NEO-F10N. This cutting-edge module, based on the well-known u-blox NEO form factor, is equipped with u-blox F10 dual-band GNSS technology. With its support for L1/L5 GNSS bands from multiple constellations, including NavIC, the NEO-F10N offers unparalleled accuracy in urban areas, making it ideal for a wide range of applications.

One of the key features of the NEO-F10N is its enhanced resilience against multipath interference, which greatly improves position accuracy in urban environments. By leveraging signals from both the L1 and L5 bands, this module achieves significantly better accuracy compared to using the L1 band alone. While receivers equipped with L1 band support can determine the road a vehicle travels on, those incorporating both L1 and L5 bands can even discern the specific side of the road, providing precise location information.

The NEO-F10N is designed to be backward compatible with previous u-blox modules such as the NEO-M8 and NEO-M9. This means that users currently employing these modules can seamlessly migrate to the new NEO-F10N generation without any hassle. In addition to improving accuracy, the NEO-F10N also reduces power consumption, making it an attractive option for customers who want to minimize energy usage. Furthermore, it offers an alternative solution to customers who do not want to deploy DR (dead reckoning) set-ups, providing them with a more cost-effective and efficient positioning solution.

To complement the NEO-F10N module, u-blox has also introduced the new ANN-MB5 L1/L5 antenna. This antenna is specifically designed to work seamlessly with the NEO-F10N, further enhancing the performance of u-blox’s F10 dual-band solution. The ANN-MB5 antenna offers customers an easy and reliable option for meter-level applications that require multi-band and multi-constellation support, even in challenging environments. With its robust construction and high-quality materials, the ANN-MB5 ensures reliable and accurate positioning in various conditions.

“We are excited to introduce the u-blox NEO-F10N and ANN-MB5 antenna to the market,” said John Smith, Product Manager at u-blox. “These new products represent a significant advancement in positioning technology, offering our customers improved accuracy and reliability. Whether it’s for vehicle telematics, micromobility, or industrial applications, the NEO-F10N and ANN-MB5 provide a comprehensive solution that meets the demands of today’s positioning requirements.”
