Anyone intimidated by the idea of wearing a men’s dress shirt as a shirtdress need look no further than “Good Girl Gone Bad” Rihanna for some sartorial enlightenment. For Revolve‘s Madeworn x Roc96 event in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, the pop star wore an oversized men’s shirt from Korean designer Juun J. Instead of going full-on “Risky Business,” she cinched in her waist with a wide PVC belt by Maison Margiela, paired with clear slingback heels that spotlighted her bright white (and coordinating) pedicure.

To give Rihanna’s makeshift shirtdress a more feminine feel, she kept the top buttons unbuttoned, allowing an open neckline or “swing” collar, regularly seen on the Balenciaga runway. And to keep the singer’s ensemble from looking too Plain Jane — though, that’s generally never the case — it’s the little accents that make us love this look even more: Her neon green nails are a nice punch of color, and her gold chain necklace adds just enough of a statement. On paper, it sounds like an easy outfit to pull off, and with a pro like Rihanna wearing it with ease, we’re inspired to give this look a try, too.
