You’re now gloating – Piers Morgan slams Messi over World Cup celebrations

Former CNN host, Piers Morgan, has hit out at Lionel Messi, accusing the Argentina captain of “gloating” about his World Cup victory with his recent Instagram posts.

Morgan is a well-known fanboy of Messi’s eternal rival, Cristiano Ronaldo.

While his love for Ronaldo has never been hidden, the British media personality has also never shied away from taking digs at Messi whenever he can.

Now Morgan has taken another swipe in the wake of Messi winning the World Cup.

“OK, Lionel.. we get it, you won the World Cup,” Morgan tweeted, along with a screenshot of Messi’s Instagram page, with the last six of his posts being about his World Cup triumph.

“You’re slightly over-egging the gloating soufflé now…”
