A Kaduna State College of Education student, Gidan Waya, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, was shot dead during a protest on Monday.

It was gathered that the deceased had joined his colleagues, who were protesting a hike in school fees when security operatives attempted to disperse them forcefully.

When contacted, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalike, told the correspondent that he would find out and revert.
