An Unexpected Encounter on the Highway

Nathaniel Bassey has shared a startling testimony about what he described as a failed spiritual attack by a traditional spiritualist. Speaking during a recent worship session, the Nigerian gospel minister recounted how a man he referred to as a “juju man” allegedly attempted to place him under a spell while he was traveling along an express road.

According to Bassey, the encounter was not a random occurrence. He claimed it was the second time the same individual had approached him under unusual circumstances.

“He Was Casting an Enchantment”

The pastor explained that the man knocked on his car window and began performing what he described as an enchantment, allegedly trying to command or influence him spiritually.

Rather than react in fear, Bassey said he responded calmly. He stood in place and laughed, choosing instead to declare Bible verses affirming divine protection. He quoted scripture saying, “Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm,” emphasizing his belief that no harm could come to him.

He added that the man remained nearby, seemingly waiting for the spell to take effect.

Declaring Scripture in Response

Bassey further referenced Numbers 23:23, which states that there is no enchantment against Jacob and no divination against Israel. He used the passage to underscore his conviction that the alleged spiritual attack would not succeed.

Afterward, he said he stepped out of his vehicle and firmly ordered the man to leave the area immediately.

Reflecting on the moment, Bassey admitted he later wished he had detained the individual until law enforcement authorities arrived.

A Message About Faith, Not Fear

While narrating the incident, the cleric stressed that his intention was not to glorify evil or create fear. Instead, he said he wanted to highlight what he believes is the reality of spiritual wickedness and the power of faith.

“I’m not saying this to boast,” he explained during the session. “But while we do not glorify the devil, there is wickedness in the world.”

The video of his testimony has since circulated online, sparking reactions from supporters and critics alike, with many debating the broader themes of faith, spiritual warfare, and protection.
