Charlton twice came from behind to snatch a dramatic 3-2 victory over Fulham U23s to reach the second round of the Checkatrade trophy.

The Addicks left it late to seal the victory at The Valley as goals from Joe Dodoo and Joe Aribo, in the 89th and 90th minute respectively, stunned Fulham.

The Cottagers had taken the lead on two occasions thanks to Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson’s fourth-minute opener and Cameron Thompson’s strike shortly after the hour.

But Ben Reeves hauled Charlton level on 30 minutes before Dodoo and Aribo’s late strikes completed the turnaround.

Elsewhere, Danny Philliskirk scored twice as Blackpool progressed into the next round with a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Middlesbrough U21s.

The 26-year-old opened the scoring on 24 minutes and doubled his tally after the death after goals from Sean Longstaff and Sessi D’Almeida had snuffed out Boro’s hopes of a comeback after Luke Armstrong’s strike.
