The 10th National Assembly Leadership continues to be embroiled in intrigues as various political factions jostle for power. In the midst of this, Simon Ekpa, a popular Biafra agitator and separatist, has warned returning senators-elect against stoking the embers of ethnicity.

Ekpa, a Finland-based lawyer and self-styled Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile, issued the warning in a statement on Tuesday. He cautioned the Southeast Senators, led by their spokesperson, Hon. Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah, against creating a chasmic ethnic disunity in Biafraland in the guise of fighting for the Senate presidency.

“We are one people – We are Biafrans. There will be no restiveness if your caucus does not win the Senate presidency because we will never fight for your selfish ambitions,” Ekpa said.

He accused the Southeast Senators Caucus of being dishonorable and selfish, refusing to support the Biafran craving to exit Nigeria. He also alleged that the senators had endorsed the rigged election, endorsed the Muslim-Muslim Presidency, and endorsed the pronouncement of Bola Tinubu as president-elect, leaving their own out there to fight for themselves.

Ekpa declared that, given the above, all the Vagabonds in Power (“VIP”) Senators of Igbo extraction should stop parading themselves as representatives of the people from Biafraland after May 29th, 2023. He threatened that a vote of no confidence would be passed on them by the Biafra Republic Government In-Exile, and Biafrans would deal with them decisively.

In a separate development, Ekpa was honored with the title “Agu N’eche Mba-1” by Biafra monarchs under the Aegis Custodians of Culture and Tradition. He was crowned as “Agu N’eche Mba-1″ of Biafra Land, and his election as the Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government In Exile (BRGIE) was also congratulated.

“We, the Custodians Of Culture And Tradition (CCT), Biafra Monarchs, crowned you today as “Agu N’eche Mba-1″ of Biafra Land. It is also our congratulatory message on your election as the Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government In Exile (BRGIE),” Ekpa posted on his Twitter handle on Monday.

The Biafra separatist movement has been ongoing for decades, with many people in the southeastern part of Nigeria agitating for independence from the rest of the country. The movement has been marked by violence, protests, and clashes with security forces.

Despite the Nigerian government’s efforts to quell the movement, it continues to gain momentum, with many people calling for a referendum to determine the fate of the region. The situation is further complicated by the political intrigues and power struggles within the National Assembly, which threaten to exacerbate ethnic tensions in the region.
