Wanting to keep things intimate + romantic, Lauren and Dan created a secluded sanctuary up on Figeuroa Mountain. The fields, brimming with wispy wheat and wild mustard, set the stage for their overall gold, copper + moody color palette. Bringing on the event designer + planner, Lace and Likes, she helped them bring the dreamy Figueroa Mountain Farmhouse wedding to fruition.
Lauren shares We wanted to feel secluded from the rest of the world with all our closest friends and family around, and Figueroa was the perfect place to do that. We had the ceremony and reception outside surrounded by Figueroa Mountain, Dan’s father was our officiant, one of my friend’s bands performed, one of my best friends did my makeup, Dan’s aunt did some of our calligraphy and paintings. It all felt really personal and perfect because of it.
The ever-amazing Tyler + Katie Branch captured the whole day… Ready to absolutely fawn over it?! Let’s head to the mountains!

Gorgeous calligraphy from Valerie Smith of Gold + State was done on copper sheeting for the escort card display.
A sprinkling of dried flowers set the mood for the tablescape, along with luxe gold accents + matte black.
The wild mustard + sprawling fields on the mountain set the tone for the color palette… We love how they incorporated natural elements into all the décor + tablescape.

Don’t forget to take moments throughout the day to pause and take everything in! It goes by so fast and you want to remember all of it! Have your friends take photos so you can relive the day on your honeymoon before your professional photos come in. Also, an amazing event planner is worth every penny. We chose Lace & Likes and I honestly don’t know what we would have done without her. She made our day feel like a fairytale so we could relax, have fun and enjoy each other.
