Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh has surprised many fans after publicly celebrating and praying for her former husband, Olakunle Churchill, during their son King Andre’s 10th birthday party in Abuja.

Videos from the event, which have since gone viral online, show the actress offering heartfelt prayers and words of affirmation over Churchill’s life, business ventures, and family. Standing before guests, Dikeh expressed gratitude for his role as a father and spoke blessings over his future.

“You are an amazing father, thank you so much,” she said emotionally. “Your businesses will flourish; whoever curses you shall be cursed. I love you with the love of God.”

A Message of Peace and Prosperity

During her speech, Dikeh emphasized the strong bond between Churchill and their son, King Andre. She noted that Andre holds deep love and admiration for his father, highlighting the importance of unity and support in their child’s life.

The actress extended her prayers beyond Churchill himself, asking for divine protection and success for his entire household, including his other children.

“I pray for your family. I pray for your business. I pray for all the children. They will progress. Failure will not meet them. Everything that they touch will be blessed,” she declared. “God will go before them and make every crooked path straight. Your business is replenished.”

Her public display of goodwill marks a dramatic shift from the once highly publicized conflict that followed their separation in 2017. The former couple’s split played out in the public eye, drawing significant media attention and sparking years of tension.

From Public Dispute to Reconciliation

In recent months, however, Dikeh revealed that she and Churchill had reconciled and “buried the hatchet,” signaling an end to their prolonged feud. Her words at their son’s birthday celebration appear to confirm that both parties are committed to peaceful co-parenting.

Following their separation, Churchill went on to marry actress Rosy Meurer in 2021. The couple welcomed their first child in March of that year and a second child in October 2022. In 2023, Churchill publicly dismissed rumors suggesting trouble in his marriage. Meurer has also openly professed her loyalty to her husband, once stating she would willingly “take a bullet” for him.

Despite their complicated past, Tonto Dikeh’s recent gesture reflects a tone of maturity and healing. By choosing to publicly honor her ex-husband and pray for his success, she has sent a powerful message about forgiveness, growth, and prioritizing family above past conflicts.
