50 Cent and Eminem make a legendary crime-fighting duo on this “Massacre” standout.
I recently spent some time revisiting 50 Cent and Eminem’s creative partnership, which seemed to fizzle out around the same time Em dropped Recovery. During their peak, the duo were a force to be reckoned with, emboldening one another with a sense of unconditional loyalty. While plenty of gems emerged as a result, The Massacre’s “GATman & Robbin” seemed the perfect encapsulation to their dynamic. 50 plays the Batman to Em’s Robin, a physically imposing man of few words, liable to take action at the slightest sign of disrespect. That’s not to say Robbin’s a pushover; perhaps a little goofier, he can still throw down if the situation calls for it.
