President Buhari to Address Nation in Farewell Broadcast

Abuja, Nigeria – President Muhammadu Buhari is set to address the nation in a farewell broadcast on Sunday, May 28, at 7 am. The President, who has been in office since 2015, will be stepping down from his position as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

The announcement was made by Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, in a statement released on Saturday. Adesina urged all television, radio stations, and other electronic media outlets to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast.

The President’s farewell broadcast is expected to touch on his achievements during his tenure, as well as his plans for the future. It is also expected to be an emotional moment for the President, who has been in office for the past six years.

Under his leadership, the Nigerian military has made significant gains in the fight against Boko Haram and other terrorist groups in the country.
