Boko Haram terrorists attack Yobe community in armoured vehicle

Katko village, which is kilometers away from Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, has been attacked by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.

Residents told Channels Television on Thursday, July 8, that they fled to the bush as the attackers drove into the community around 10:00 a.m. in one Armoured Personnel Car (APC) and six Toyota Hilux mounted with anti-aircraft guns.

It is also suspected that the insurgents might have come to loot foodstuff as today is the market day of Katarko village.
