APC presidential primaries: Buhari meets Gov Yahaya Bello

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, is currently in a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House in Abuja.

Recall that Yahaya Bello had on Monday “excused himself” from a meeting of northern governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with President Buhari.

According to Governor El-Rufai, Bello snubbed the meeting because he did not agree with zoning the party’s presidency to the South.

Thirteen of the 19 APC governors from the North had agreed that APC’s presidential ticket should be zoned to the South.

As of the time of filing this report, details of the meeting were still sketchy.
