Plateau High Court in Jos has ruled in favor of Abok Ayuba, reinstating him as the Speaker of the Plateau House of Assembly. Ayuba was impeached by members of the State Assembly on October 28, 2021. He challenged his impeachment, claiming it was illegal and violated the rules of the assembly. Justice Nefisa Musa, the presiding judge, granted the plaintiff’s prayers and declared the impeachment illegal.
