Seigi is not your average Japanese middle schooler, as he is a highly trained martial artist who received his training from his grandfather. We meet him in a dark alleyway where two punks attack and try to rob an older gentleman. Seigi quickly jumped to his defense, and with a swift counter to one of the punches that the robber threw, he slammed him to the ground. Watching this, his associate fled, leaving the old man alone. The old man thanks Seigi, and for saving his life, he gives him a translucent stone, which, as soon as he places it on his arm, starts etching the design on the stone onto his skin.
