President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the re-appointment of John Emaimo, as Rector, Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy, Enugu State.

The appointment takes effect from November 27.

Minister of State for Health, Olorunnimbe Mamora, signed the letter containing the President’s approval.

The minister said Emaimo was found eligible for a second term based on his assessment.

He urged the Rector to continue to work with his team for additional achievements.

The college was established in 1952 and inaugurated in 1955.

It was then the only institution in Africa to provide training for dental technologists and therapists.

Dental technologists fabricate artificial teeth, eye, and nose, ear among other bony, and fleshy parts of the crannies.
