These are the stories making headlines in fashion on Friday.

Sir Anthony Hopkins fronts Brioni’s fall campaign

Gregory Harris has shot another legendary actor, Sir Anthony Hopkins, for Brioni‘s fall campaign. The ad, which is set to break Sept. 1 — stars the Academy Award winner looking comfortably polished through a black and white lens. With Hopkins, the Italian menswear line, praised for its tailoring expertise, will continue to highlight its longstanding bond with Hollywood, from the iconic James Bond character to famous fans of the brand Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman. {WWD}

Sources say Amazon and Violet Grey strike beauty deal
This week in Amazon world domination, founder and chief executive officer Jeff Bezos was briefly made the world’s richest person, their stocks peaking at an all-time high. Nevertheless, the web giant is still thirsty for more — and this time they have their sights set on luxury beauty player Violet Grey. According to WWD, multiple sources hinted that the two have already signed an agreement that has Violet Grey serving up a certain set of luxury brands to sell on Amazon in exchange for a commission of between 20 percent and 30 percent. Both Amazon and Violet Grey declined to comment on the deal.  {WWD}

MAC is giving away free lipstick this weekend

In honor of “National Lipstick Day,” MAC is giving out free lipsticks — no gimmicks, just a way to take home a matte nude or glossy berry without the $17 price tag. Your new lip shade awaits at your local MAC store on July 29. We recommend beating the inevitable crowds to grab a new shade before they’re gone. {Hypebae}

All of fall’s most in-demand beauty stars
Today’s biggest beauty stars have a lot more than pronounced cheekbones and a flawless complexion; they have 10 million and counting Instagram followers, a Grammy (or seven), a number-one spot on best-dressed lists, a link to the Kardashians and a spot on the 2017 Met Gala guest list. This fall’s fragrance campaigns, collaborations and cosmetic launches have Bella Hadid, Rihanna, Madonna, Kim Kardashian written all over them. {WWD}

A Zara documentary is in the works for this fall
Do you remember a world without Zara? It’s increasingly difficult to comb through our closets without finding at least five (or 30) poplin shirts from the fast-fashion retailer. And while you’ve sworn you’d stay away for a while, a new season creeps in and somehow, Zara always seems to fill in the empty spaces in our wardrobes. How did Zara become a sartorial lifeline? This fall, a film on the company will provide the answer. A documentary, dubbed “Zara: The Story of the World’s Richest Man,” will offer an intimate look inside, as well as its journey from Spain to the rest of the world. {InStyle}

Amazon launches its very first beauty product

With the news of the Whole Foods purchase starting to die down, Amazon is stirring up more buzz with the release of their first beauty exclusive; evidently, the e-commerce brand shares Dan Humphrey’s belief that “you’re no one until you’re talked about.” Amazon has partnered with Oui Glo, a start-up beauty brand, on a rich collagen face mask. The mask promises to give you a dewy glow on-the-go and comes packed with collagen, fruit extracts and organic ingredients. {Bustle}

Anna Sui x INC debuts Fall 2017 campaign starring Karen Elson
On Thursday, Macy’s INC debuted its official campaign for their Fall 2017 collaboration with Anna Sui. The ads capture Sui’s technicolor aesthetic, with redheaded supermodel Karen Elson and David Alexander Flinn posing on plush purple seating set against crimson walls. The pair sport prairie frocks and star-studded boots from the Western-inspired capsule of clothing and accessories, which have been designed by Sui and developed by the INC team. “Macy’s is an iconic institution, and they were the first department store to pick up my very first collection,” said Sui in a press release. “It was such a pleasure working with their team, and I think my fans are going to really love what we came up with.” Anna Sui x INC will hit 25 select Macy’s stores and be available at Macys.com in early September. {Fashionista inbox}
