In the immortal words of Tyler, ya girl has a real bad case of the shoppies — and in the interest of specificity, the Guccies. I know that’s a common affliction facing the fashion industry as of late — Alessandro Michele, what have you done to us? — so I’m not going to pretend I’m special, because I’m not. However, my affliction still stands. And it is troubling.
Let’s talk about this ruffly red blazer, which is, perhaps, the finest piece of outerwear I’ve ever seen and retails for a cool, casual $2,200. I’ve always been a big believer in the blazer — have been since I was a wee teen — and this one plays into all my deepest blazer fantasies. It’d look deeply cool with a T-shirt, track pants and white sneakers, or you can fance it up and wear it with its matching trousers, as shown below.
I’ve got a fever and the only prescription is more Gucci.
If anyone out there could possible convince me I need to shill out four digits to buy a glorified frilly coat, it’d be Michele. He’s good at his job, because I’m absolutely convinced. Now, who’s going to help me pay for it?
