Manchester United’s Harry Maguire is reportedly eager to stay at the club despite losing his spot in the starting XI. The 30-year-old defender has been facing tough competition from Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, who have become manager Erik Ten Hag’s preferred pairing. In addition, Victor Lindelof has been chosen during the final stages of the season while left-back Luke Shaw has also been picked ahead of Maguire on various occasions.

According to TalkSPORT, Maguire is keen to stay and fight for his place in the team at Old Trafford, despite numerous reports suggesting he might be on the move during the summer transfer window. It has been revealed that the England international is in line for a whopping £10 million payout if he leaves the club this summer.

Maguire has only started eight league games in the 2022-23 season, and the club’s manager recently suggested that he is unhappy with the situation. However, the defender is determined to win back his spot and prove his worth to his coach and the fans, according to sources close to him.

Although Maguire faces serious competition for his position, he understands the importance of staying at one of the biggest clubs in the world. Manchester United has a rich history and tradition, and the defender is well aware of the opportunity he has been given to be a part of it. He intends to grab it with both hands and help his team regain their dominance in the Premier League.

As the transfer window approaches, many have been wondering whether Maguire will be leaving the club. However, it is becoming clear that the player has no intention of going anywhere and is entirely focused on staying with Manchester United.

The future of the Englishman at the club is still uncertain, as we wait for the new season to begin. Nevertheless, it is clear that Maguire is determined to stay and fight to regain his spot at Old Trafford. If he manages to do so, his contribution could be crucial in Manchester United’s bid to lift the Premier League trophy once again.
