Chelsea star N’Golo Kante may be leaving Stamford Bridge as he is reportedly offered the chance to join Saudi club, Al Ittihad, for a whopping £172m. The 30-year-old midfielder has been a valuable asset for the Blues for seven seasons after his £32m transfer from Leicester City back in 2016. Throughout his stint at Chelsea, Kante has won the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and FA Cup, becoming a standout player on the pitch with his impressive work rate and exceptional ball-winning ability.

Despite his successes, Kante was unfortunately plagued by injuries last season, causing him to make fewer appearances for Chelsea. With his contract with the club scheduled to expire this June, the midfielder has been mulling over his options. He has reportedly drawn interest from both Barcelona and Arsenal, but Al Ittihad has stepped up with a lucrative offer that seems too good to pass up.

The Saudi club has offered Kante a two-year contract that is worth £86m annually, showing the eagerness to acquire his talents. Should Kante accept the offer, he would join the ranks of other high-profile players who have opted to play in the Middle East, such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.

The news of Kante’s potential departure from the Premier League has stirred speculation among football fans and pundits. Chelsea fans, in particular, are saddened by the possibility of losing one of their most beloved players. Some are even questioning if the Blues have made the right decision in letting go of Kante considering his contributions to the club’s many successes.

As for Kante, he has yet to confirm or deny the reports of his impending move to Al Ittihad, but the offer seems too much to resist, given the hefty sum he would receive for the next two seasons. It remains to be seen how the midfielder’s move will affect both Chelsea and Al Ittihad’s future performances, but one thing is for certain – Kante’s departure from the Premier League will mark the end of an era for Chelsea fans and football enthusiasts alike.
