The 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) will be hosted by Kenya from Jan. 11 to Feb. 2, 2018.

Yusuf made the assertion in an interview in Abuja while reacting to the team’s preparedness for the Sunday’s qualifier in Cotonou.

He said that the team’s expectation was positive and with such state of mind, victory was guaranteed.

“The players are working hard to make sure the team qualifies for CHAN and we are very optimistic of qualifying,’’ Yusuf said.

The coach, who restated the team’s readiness to qualify for the championship, appealed to Nigerians to support them.

The home-based Super Eagles forced Kano Selected side to a 1-1 draw in a friendly match in Kano on Tuesday.

The game was preparatory to their 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) first leg qualifier against Republic of Benin.
