Barcelona striker, Robert Lewandowski, left the Allianz Arena quickly following a 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Lewandowski endured a miserable night on his return to Germany, as Bayern moved to the top of Group C, as goals from Lucas Hernandez and Leroy Sane sealed victory.

The Poland striker only left the Bundesliga champions for a €50million (£42.5m) fee to Barcelona this summer.

The 34-year-old has made an impressive start to his time at the Nou Camp with seven goals in nine games so far.

But Lewandowski was unable to make an impact against his former club last night, as a glaring miss in the 18th minute set the tone for a miserable evening.

According to Bild, Lewandowski left the stadium quickly after the game, while his only words to reporters after the game were, “it wasn’t that easy”.
