APGA Urges Nigerian Youths to Maintain Hope and Continue the Fight for Leadership

In a recent development, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has called upon the youth of Nigeria to remain hopeful and not be disheartened by the ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT), which upheld President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s election victory. The party has urged the younger generation to stay united, focused, and peaceful, emphasizing the importance of their continued fight to assume leadership positions in the country.

Eze Onyebuchi Chukwu, the National Youth Leader of APGA and spokesperson for the National Youth Leaders Forum of Political Parties in Nigeria (NYLFPPN), conveyed this message through a statement released in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State.

Highlighting the significance of the youth’s role in shaping the nation’s future, the statement reads, “The young people rejected bribery, thuggery, and threats to stand for what they want for their country against religion, region, and tribe. We have shown that we can be united and must not destroy this unity already achieved on the altar of disappointment and anger.”

“While we may not have achieved our desired outcome in the previous election, we must not give up on our fight to reclaim the leadership of our country, which rightfully belongs to the young people. It is time to make our voices heard and ensure that the significance of youth leadership is recognized. This is not a time to give up, but a time to persevere,” Chukwu asserted.

The statement also highlighted the growing wave of youth involvement across Nigeria, transcending party affiliations, religious beliefs, and tribal backgrounds. The youth are now more united than ever before, and their influence is being acknowledged by political leaders. The youth factor is now being considered in all aspects, including campaign strategies and winning elections.

Chukwu urged the youth to actively engage in political parties and contribute to decision-making processes that will pave the way for the emergence of young, dynamic, and vibrant candidates even before elections take place.
