Nollywood comic actor and content creator Bamidele Tope Saint, popularly known as Okemesi, has reportedly fallen into a coma following complications from medication administered during a previous hospital visit.
The troubling update was shared by fellow actor Jeff Owolewa, also known as Tony Montana, in an Instagram post on Monday night.
Health Setback After Public Support
The development comes just days after Okemesi moved into a new apartment reportedly secured for him through public donations. The actor had earlier appealed for financial assistance after battling an illness that left him homeless.
According to Jeff Owolewa, Okemesi’s health deteriorated over the weekend. He revealed that the actor had been sleeping excessively on Saturday and Sunday and had little appetite, allegedly due to complications from drugs prescribed when he was discharged from the hospital the previous week.

Hospital Rejections and Emergency Admission
Jeff recounted how he rushed to Okemesi’s residence early Monday morning after noticing his worsening condition. However, he claimed that several hospitals, including a government hospital in Igodo, allegedly refused to admit him, citing lack of bed space.
Eventually, Okemesi was taken back to the same private hospital where he had previously received treatment. He was admitted and stabilized, but his condition reportedly worsened, leading to a coma.
“So they admitted him and stabilised him. His breathing is improving. He has been in coma since Monday morning. They have placed him on oxygen,” Jeff stated, while appealing to Nigerians to keep the actor in their prayers.

As of the latest update, Okemesi remains hospitalized and on oxygen support, with hopes that his condition will improve.
