Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, believes Tottenham Hotspur forwards Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min will be frustrated with the style of play at Spurs under their manager, Antonio Conte.

Tottenham are having a strong season so far as they currently sit in the third position on the Premier League table after 13 matches.

“What do you want? Do you want success and take a bit away from the style, or do you want to go back to playing good football and don’t really win much. That’s something you can ask the fans,” Ferdinand said on BT Sport.

“If you look at it as a player. As a player, I think some players in that squad will be frustrated with the way they are playing.

“If you look at Son, Kane and all the strikers in that team, they will be sitting there going…well, Kane ain’t going to be near the top of the goal charts.

“Well, Haaland’s obviously breezing it, but Kane would want to be having that fight and having that argument. At the moment, he’s a bit hamstrung.

“When you watch him sometimes, he’s almost like a defensive midfielder, the positions he’s playing, due to the structure.”
