If you’re anything like us at Fashionista, then you’ve spent most of spring and summer eagerly awaiting the weather-appropriate moment to wrap yourself up in cozy, delectably chunky knits and call it a day. For some reason, fall’s abundance of layering is somewhat more appealing — and comfortable — than summer’s bum-baring cutoffs. Plus, we’re more willing to spend a hot dollar on a coat or a boot, because these are the pieces we’ll be living in as soon as the temperature drops.
This particular fall, we’re making room in our closets for feather stilettos (a Miu Miu takeaway), shearling-lined denim and cold-weather skin remedies. And even though we managed to fill our virtual fall carts to our hearts’ desires, we won’t be getting all of our luxe picks; fashion is all about aspiration, right?
