24-year-old Nigerian lawyer dies of leukemia 9 months after her wedding

Nigerian lawyer, Onyinye Ukpor Onyekwere has died of leukemia (Cancer of the Blood) nine months after her wedding.

Onyinye, graduate of the Igbinedion University, lost her battle with leukemia earlier in June at the age of 24. She was laid to rest on Saturday, June 16, 2018.

Meanwhile friends and family members have taken to social media to pay tribute to Onyinye. One wrote:

“Amiable, lovable,endearing and unique all these qualities you possessed but in my words,” her friend Ezebunwo wrote in a Facebook post. “I will unequivocally describe you as an epitome of solace with so much humility, meekness and a peaceful heart that loved the things of GOD.”

Today still resonates as yesterday’s expectations and joy is cut short by untimely death.

How cruel that LEUKAEMIA(Cancer Of The Blood) at the age of 24 could snatch you away from your beloved husband in a marriage that is barely 9MONTHS OLD and from we your friends.

Pained is the word as Alumni of OJIMS COLLEGE observed the burial of an ex student late Barr. Onyinye Ukpor Julius whose husband Mr  Julius Chinedu Onyekwere is also an alumnus of Ojims College.

We all will someday hearken to the inevitable call of death,
Indeed a call that is a respecter of none,
Neither does it elude the aged nor the innocent young.
Once more it has come knocking & you our beloved ONYINYE opened and embraced it.

Amiable,lovable,endearing and unique all these qualities you possessed but in my words, I will unequivocally describe you as an epitome of solace with so much humility, meekness and a peaceful heart that loved the things of GOD.
