2023: Rights activist, Israel Joe commends President Buhari for signing electoral act into law

A Niger Delta activist, Comrade Israel Joe, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for signing the electoral act amendment into law.

Joe made the commendation during a chat Delta State.

He said the electoral law will further improve the electioneering processes across the country.

“As a people, we are gradually evolving and we should acknowledge these little growths while we continue to push for more in terms of growth in the economic strata.

“If not the way our leaders have wrongly led this country, Nigeria should have no business with poverty and even her citizens should be paid. But it will all start from choosing the right leaders hence we are happy about the step ahead in our electioneering process,” he said.

Joe also urged politicians to sit down and reflect on the future of this country.

According to him, “Parochial political party interest must be subjected to heroic patriotism.

“We risk the future if politicians again fail us in 2023. Deltans should shun political scheming and manoeuver and choose the best candidates to lead across the board with credibility, competence and capacity.”

Joe opined that politicians are not the best to rule the country at this critical time but technocrats who will continue to build a vision for the state with the people at the center of all developmental policies and implementations.
