Yul Edochie has reacted to the emergence of Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, as the deputy governorship candidate in Rivers State under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

wowplus had earlier reported that the ADC governorship candidate, Tonte Ibraye, confirmed Tonto Dikeh as his running mate in a statement posted on Instagram on Friday.

Part of the statement read: “After a series of consultations with leaders of our party the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State and the national level, I’m glad to announce Amb. Tonto Dikeh ‘Tonto let ’ as my running mate for the 2023 gubernatorial election in Rivers State.”

Edochie in a post on his Instagram page stated that running for political office is one of the best things that a person can ever do in life.

He advised Tonto Dikeh that whatever the outcome of the election, she should know that she had kicked off a life-changing journey.

He wrote: “Congratulations to my friend and colleague, Tonto Dikeh, on your nomination as the deputy governorship candidate of your party.

“Running for office is one of the best things one can ever do in life. It will make you understand clearly how Nigeria truly works.

“There is never a loss in it. It is either you win or you learn and come back stronger. Whatever happens, just know that you have kicked off a life-changing journey. Best of luck.”
