Welcome to the Jungle

koolau mountains view 2The Ko’olau Mountains

Last day of the trip. We’ll be back home tomorrow. It’s been so relaxing and great seeing Connor have so much fun in the tropics.

old house kaneoheEl Hub’s parents used to live in this house right here. I’ll never forget how loud the birds are in the morning! It’s wonderful. haiku garden bench wide shotThis is called Haiku Gardens in Kaneohe behind where my in-laws used to live. We used to go there every morning to feed the fish and turtles.

pig lady ahiThe seared ahi toast at Pig & The Lady, which is an Asian fusion restaurant in Chinatown. This dish was amazing! One of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life. Eyes rolling back in ecstasy good. The ahi was really fatty, so it melted the minute it hit your tongue, and they put it on this really crispy toast with shaved garlic pieces on top… Mmm!!!
