Does Cristiano Ronaldo’s fourth Champions League title now edge him ahead of Lionel Messi as the best of their generation?

Our La Liga Weekly podcast pair Jon Driscoll and Terry Gibson kick off the debate again as they assess the credentials of the Real Madrid and Barcelona superstars.

Ronaldo scored twice in the Champions League final against Juventus as he steered his side to a 4-1 win – a second straight triumph in the competition and a third title in four years. The Portugal captain has now drawn level with Messi on four victories in the competition.

But who is the best? Hit play on the video at the top of the page to see our Spanish football experts and Jon Driscoll and Terry Gibson debate Ronaldo v Messi
