Vanderpump Rules Season 10 has just concluded, and the finale left fans in suspense. One of the cast members, James Kennedy, exclusively spoke with Us Weekly, and broke down the episode, admitting it was a “heartbreaking” episode to watch, discussing what the cheating scandal between Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss means for the future of the show.
During the 5th annual Vanderpump Dogs Gala in Beverly Hills on Thursday, May 18, the 31-year-old DJ opened up to reporters, stating, “It’s just a classic story of betrayal,” explaining that the relationship breakdown between two brothers, who have essentially grown up together, was a “backstabbing kind of move.”

Kennedy previously dated Raquel Leviss for five years before proposing to her during season 9 of the show, with the help of Tom Sandoval. However, after the cheating scandal broke during production, James and Raquel announced their split, adding further heartache to the cast.
During the finale, former SUR bartender Ariana Madix told Sandoval that he was “worth nothing” after having supported him, while James called him a “backstabber” and a “piece of s–t” on camera. As for Raquel Leviss, James did not have kind things to say. He accused her of lying to all her colleagues at SUR, while the new cast member, Lala Kent, also chimed in, calling both Raquel and Tom “poo-poo heads.” James’ opinion was consistent with Lala Kent, as the insider reports suggest that James and Lala “burned them alive” during the taping of the reunion special.
However, Kennedy explained to reporters that the emotional affair had left him feeling unsure if the show can ever recover. “It was something that I don’t feel like [we] will ever come back from. So, it was kind of a farewell almost,” he shared.
