Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and her husband Luis “Louie” Ruelas are still adjusting to married life, with the reality show adding an extra layer of complexity to their relationship. Speaking exclusively to Us Weekly, Giudice revealed that filming the show has been the hardest part of their first year of marriage, saying, “This is not what he’s used to. So, it is like, ‘Poor guy.’” However, the couple agrees that their day-to-day life is full of normal activities, with Ruelas saying they do dinners every night and cook together.
Ruelas, who shares sons Nicholas and Louie Jr. with ex-wife Marisa Dimartino Ruelas, notes that his life has shifted since marrying Giudice, saying, “It’s really nice to have, like, a lot of structure here in the house with girls. We have four dogs. We live for our kids. It’s wonderful. You get to this place and actually have time. We have time to focus on the children and what’s important, where they’re going, what their next steps are.”

As for their future, the couple is taking things one day at a time. Giudice told Us Weekly in February that they are “just enjoying each other’s company” and “having fun,” while Ruelas said in a recent interview that he is “looking forward to growing old” with Giudice.

Despite the challenges that come with being in the public eye, Giudice and Ruelas seem to be making their relationship work. As Giudice said in an Instagram post in November 2021, “When you find someone who makes you laugh, who you trust, who loves you for who you are, and who supports your dreams, don’t let them go.”
