Supreme Court nullifies Rivers State APC Congress

The Supreme Court of Nigeria has just delivered a landmark ruling upholding the Judgment of the High Court of Rivers State which nullified all congresses held by the APC in Rivers State.

The Court Ruling on an Appeal by 22 Rivers APC Chieftain who were denied nomination forms calle dout the Party for going ahead to conduct a congress in a flagrant disregard to the Order of the High Court.

‘How can they ask and be granted a stay of execution of an order they flagrantly disobeyed? The court does not exist to bless the disobedience of those who do no regard and respect it” the court ruled.
