In an exclusive interview, former Arsenal star and France international, Samir Nasri, has shared his thoughts on the ongoing speculation surrounding Kylian Mbappe’s future. Nasri, who himself has experienced the allure of a big transfer, advises the young Frenchman to reject a move to Real Madrid and instead extend his stay at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Nasri believes that staying at PSG would allow Mbappe to become the king of Paris, rather than chasing success elsewhere.

Mbappe, has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for several years. With his contract set to expire next summer, the opportunity for a free transfer to the Spanish giants seems imminent. However, Nasri argues that Mbappe’s departure would create a void that PSG could easily fill with new recruits, albeit not of Mbappe’s caliber.

Speaking to JDD via Le10Sport, Nasri expressed his admiration for Mbappe’s talent and emphasized his importance to both the French national team and PSG. Nasri boldly declared, “Already two years ago, I said he was the best player in the world. I still think so.” Nasri’s praise for Mbappe is indicative of the high regard in which the young forward is held within the footballing world.

Nasri, who hails from the Paris region himself, understands the allure of playing for a local club. Drawing from his own experiences, he suggests that Mbappe should prioritize being the king of his own village rather than seeking success elsewhere. Nasri reminisced, “If [Marseille] had been owned by Qatar when I was at the club, I would never have left. I think it is better to be the king in your village.”

The former Arsenal star also highlighted the potential for PSG to strengthen their squad with the budget that would be freed up by Mbappe’s departure. While recognizing the significance of the UEFA Champions League, Nasri believes that winning it with PSG would be a greater achievement for Mbappe than joining Real Madrid and potentially securing their fiftieth title.

Nasri’s advice to Mbappe comes from a place of experience and wisdom, urging the young star to consider the long-term benefits of staying at PSG. By remaining in Paris, Mbappe would continue to be the focal point of the team, enjoying the adoration of the fans and cementing his legacy as one of the greatest players in the club’s history.

In conclusion, Samir Nasri’s advice to Kylian Mbappe carries weight due to his own experiences and achievements in the footballing world. Nasri’s plea for Mbappe to remain at PSG and become the king of Paris resonates with the idea of loyalty and the pursuit of greatness within one’s own “village.” As Mbappe contemplates his future, he must weigh the allure of Real Madrid against the prospect of building a lasting legacy at PSG. Only time will tell which path the young French superstar will choose.
