Despite Trump’s legal troubles, he has managed to maintain his position as the top choice among Republican primary voters, according to an average of national GOP primary polls compiled by FiveThirtyEight. As of Saturday, Haley ranked fourth with 5.9% of the vote.
Trump has faced charges in four separate cases, the most recent being his alleged efforts to overturn Biden’s victory in Georgia during the 2020 election. He has also been indicted in Manhattan for his involvement in a hush money scheme with adult film actress Stormy Daniels. Additionally, he faces two other federal cases related to the mishandling of classified documents and an alleged plot to remain in power after losing the 2020 contest.
