As the race for the governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State heats up, one female aspirant, Funmi Waheed-Adekojo, is cautioning the party against placing too much emphasis on unwritten zoning arrangements.
In a recent press conference in Akure, the state capital, Waheed-Adekojo expressed her concerns about the potential negative impact of strict adherence to zoning on the party’s chances in the upcoming elections.
With 16 governorship aspirants in the running, Waheed-Adekojo stands out as the only candidate from the northern senatorial district, while the remaining 15 come from the southern senatorial district.
