Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr has revealed that her son Flynn, born in 2011, was named after her high school sweetheart, Christopher Middlebrook, who died in a car accident when she was just 16 years old. Kerr shared the touching story in her book “Treasure Yourself” and in an interview with The Daily Telegraph.
Kerr and Middlebrook had been dating for two years when he was tragically killed in a car crash. Kerr wrote a letter to him after his death, expressing her hope to name her first child after him in some way. When she met Orlando Bloom, her then-husband, she shared the story with him and he was happy to honor her wish.
