In a recent development, popular socialite Pascal Okechukwu, known as Cubana Chief Priest, has advised Nigerians not to evade invitations from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The socialite emphasized that the anti-graft agency does not mistreat suspects but rather conducts investigations and prosecutes individuals.
Cubana Chief Priest highlighted that attempting to run away from EFCC invites or resisting arrest is futile, as the agency is relentless in apprehending individuals regardless of their whereabouts. He commended the hospitality of the EFCC, mentioning that suspects are provided with three meals a day while in custody.
Taking to his Instagram page, Cubana Chief Priest shared his thoughts on the matter: “The Eagle will always fly so high to catch you wherever you hide. No need to run when @officialefcc invites you, just pull up and answer them, they don’t bite, they don’t beat, they only investigate and prosecute. For their cell, toilet & bathroom dey, even breakfast, lunch & dinner is served so tell me why are you running.”
It is worth noting that Cubana Chief Priest recently faced charges before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court, Lagos, brought forth by the EFCC. The charges against him revolved around the abuse of the Naira. Despite pleading not guilty, he was granted bail set at N10 million with two sureties in like sum.
