RODGERS ON ‘INCREDIBLE FEELING’

“It’s an incredible feeling and an incredible end to the game. It was a very tough game. We said to the players beforehand that if you want to make history, it is never easy. You have to work for it. 

“Give credit to my players and the Aberdeen players because they worked tirelessly throughout the game but as it wore on, our quality and movement started to pay dividends. 

“We left it late to score but we had two or three other good chances to score which we should have done earlier really. It is an incredible feeling for the football club and the players in particular because they’ve been incredible.”
