The Confederation of African Football (CAF) heaped plaudits on Victor Osimhen after the forward netted four times in Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiying tie against Sao Tome on Monday afternoon.

The Super Eagles were at their devastating best putting 10 goals past the Falcons.

Osimhen opened the floodgate for the Super Eagles in the ninth minute following a superb cross from Moses Simon, and added three more goals in the second half.

The 23-year-old is now the top scorer in the qualifiers with five goals.
