Chelsea have accepted a £10m bid from Bournemouth for goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international still needs to agree personal terms and complete a medical for the deal to be completed.

Begovic joined Chelsea in the summer of 2015 from Stoke on a four-year deal for a fee of £8m, but has only made 33 appearances for the club over the last two seasons.

The 29-year-old only played twice in the league for Chelsea this season. Begovic has previously played for the Cherries, featuring eight times for the club during 2007.

The keeper also came through the academy system at south coast neighbours Portsmouth, moving from Canada aged 16.

He made his debut for Pompey during the 2008/09 season, before playing 15 games for the club in 2009/10 as they were relegated from the Premier League.

From there he moved to Stoke in February 2010, playing 173 games for the Potters over five and a half seasons before being signed by Chelsea.

Begovic will compete with 37-year-old keeper Arthur Boruc for a place at Bournemouth should he move, the Pole featured 35 times under Eddie Howe last season and signed a new one-year deal in April 2017.
