Amazon Prime Day is in full swing, and closes at midnight tonight. It’s the online giant’s one-day sale event that rivals Black Friday, and customers can expect deals on products ranging from laptops and PCs to videogames and books. 

The online sale is reserved for customers who have signed up to Prime, the premium £79-a-year subscription service that gives users access to unlimited one-day delivery on many items, as well as Amazon Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Reading and early access to deals.

Great deals for Tuesday in include discounts on Amazon’s own Echo smart home system and Amazon Fire tablet, massive deals on Xbox bundles, price cuts on phones from WileyFox, Motorola and Xperia and reductions on top digital cameras. There are also lightning deals on gaming headsets and video games.

Amazon’s home speaker and virtual assistant is one of the best deals this Prime Day. The Echo can answer voice commands and provide hands-free access to music and news as well as doubling up as a top speaker. It was not available in the UK last Prime Day. The Echo Dot, the Echo’s smaller, compact version, will also be available at a discount with prices cut to £34.99 with £15 off.

Amazon Fire 7 – £29.99 (40 per cent saving)

Amazon has slashed the price on its Fire Tablet series. These affordable tablets are great for browsing the web or watching Netflix and now come with Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant installed. The Fire 8 tablet also comes with a 38 per cent discount at £49.99.

Microsoft’s quality Surface Pro 4 tablet has seen a huge 40 per cent price cut. This powerful 2-in-1 hybrid tablet deal includes a typecover, which would normally cost £124.99 alone.

This is one of the lowest prices ever for the Surface Pro 4 that Amazon has offered. Unfortunately, for now the Surface Pro 4 appears unavailable on Amazon, suggesting they may be out of stock.

There are price cuts on a range of high-spec cameras on Prime Day. These include the  Sony ILCE6300B Compact System Camera, which has been cut to £674 from £1,070, and the  Sony DSCRX10M3 4K Premium Digital Bridge Mk3, which has been reduced to £1,019.00 from its real retail price of £1,549.00.
