In the world of English Premier League football, the race for the title is heating up and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes that midfielder Thomas Partey could be the key to their success.

Despite only featuring in four league matches this season due to various injuries, Partey is set to make a comeback in Arsenal’s squad for their upcoming game against Sheffield United on Monday.

Arteta is eager to pair Partey with the Gunners’ record-signing Declan Rice, who joined the team in the summer for a whopping £105 million. The duo previously played together in midfield during the Community Shield victory over Manchester City back in August.

Speaking to the press, Arteta expressed his excitement about the potential partnership between Partey and Rice, stating, “I will have to see that chemistry on the pitch, and those qualities, and the things we have to treat around to make sure they play to their strengths and make each other better. But I think that will be a very powerful midfield.”

Highlighting the significance of Partey’s return to the team, Arteta added, “I think they only played in the Community Shield together in midfield. That tells you how much we have missed Thomas. To play the whole season – and a player like him who has not played much with us – the impact he can have for the next three months can be really big.”
