Anchor unveils ‘Loss of Employment’ insurance scheme

ANCHOR Insurance Company Limited has officially launched its Anchor Loss of Employment Insurance scheme, (AnchorLoEIS).

The Chairman, Board of Directors, Anchor Insurance, Dr. Elijah Akpan, at the event in Lagos revealed that Anchor Insurance Company is well known for its innovation and creativity in providing tailor made insurance products to the insuring public.

“Today we have an important opportunity and a need to address a real kitchen table issue for families all across this country. We have an opportunity and a responsibility to innovate and create an insurance scheme to protect employee’s employment income and in doing so to provide a measure of financial stability to millions of Nigerians who may be laid off in the most difficult economic time.

 Peace of mind to families

We have the opportunity and the responsibility as an organization to provide peace of mind to families who may be left in the ditch without a job and nowhere else to turn to,” Akpan stated.

Chairperson of the occasion, Dr. Mrs. Nike Akande, who is also the President, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), said:  ”Anchor loss of employment insurance scheme is a welcome development as it seeks to protect employees from unforeseen circumstances especially as it relates to job losses. This initiative is commendable and will go a long way to provide succour and wide cover for employees that are vulnerable and also stabilize the economic wellbeing of employees and indeed the country.”

Managing Director of the company, Mayowa Adeduro, promised that the company will continue to introduce more unique insurance products with outstanding benefits like AnchorLoEIS to the acceptance of the insuring public.
