Adekunle Gold Says Adejare May Follow the Family’s Music Path

Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold seems genuinely excited about the idea that music may already be finding its way into the next generation of his family. During a recent podcast conversation, the Afrobeats star spoke warmly about his home life with his wife, Simi, and their daughter, Adejare.

According to him, their 5-year-old daughter is already showing signs that she could grow up to become a musician someday. And honestly, the way he described it made it sound less like a proud celebrity statement and more like a father simply noticing little things at home. Small reactions, random moments, perhaps habits that keep repeating themselves.

It is not exactly surprising though. When two successful musicians live under the same roof, music probably becomes part of everyday life without anyone even trying too hard.

During an appearance on the Great Day 20 podcast, Adekunle Gold explained that his daughter has already started showing interest in music. He did not say she is definitely becoming an artist, of course. Still, he sounded convinced that the signs are there.

“It is interesting to be married to another fantastic singer-songwriter and now our daughter is already giving signs that she might be one for the music as well,” he said during the interview.

There is something kind of natural about that. Children often absorb the environment around them without people realizing how much influence it has. A child growing up around studio sessions, melodies, rehearsals, and songwriting conversations may slowly become curious about music almost by instinct.

And perhaps that is what is happening with Adejare.

A Home Filled With Music

For years now, fans have admired the relationship between Adekunle Gold and Simi. Unlike many celebrity relationships that constantly appear surrounded by controversy or public drama, theirs has mostly felt calm, playful, and surprisingly grounded. At least from the outside.

The couple got married in a private ceremony back in January 2019, keeping most details away from public attention. That decision alone felt unusual at the time because celebrity weddings often become massive social media events. They chose something quieter instead.

Then in May 2020, they welcomed their daughter, Adejare.

Since then, both artists have occasionally shared moments from family life online, though not excessively. Sometimes it is a funny interaction. Other times it is simply a glimpse into parenting. It never really feels too curated, which people seem to appreciate.

And now, hearing Adekunle Gold talk about his daughter’s possible musical interests adds another layer to the image fans already have of the family. A house where creativity is probably everywhere. Songs being tested. Lyrics discussed. Maybe random singing in the kitchen. That sort of thing.

Honestly, it would probably be harder for a child in that environment not to become interested in music.

He Also Cleared Up The Twin Rumours

Aside from speaking about his daughter, Adekunle Gold also addressed rumours that recently spread online claiming he and Simi had welcomed twins.

Social media can move very fast with celebrity stories, and sometimes people just accept things as true before anyone confirms them. This particular rumour had already circulated widely enough that many fans believed it completely.

But according to Adekunle Gold, the reports were false.

He explained during the podcast that they did not welcome twins. Instead, he revealed that he and Simi recently had a baby boy.

“My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins, it is just internet rumours. We have a son,” he clarified.

That statement caught some fans off guard because many people had not even realized the couple was expecting another child in the first place. In a way, it reflects how private they still try to remain despite being famous.

These days, many celebrities document almost every stage of pregnancy online. Gender reveals, maternity shoots, countdown posts. Adekunle Gold and Simi seem to prefer handling family matters differently. They share pieces when they want to, not necessarily when the internet expects it.

There is probably something refreshing about that approach. Maybe it allows them to protect some normalcy around their children.

Fans Are Already Imagining Another Music Star

The moment Adekunle Gold mentioned Adejare’s growing interest in music, fans immediately began imagining what the future could look like. Some people are already joking that another music star is loading quietly in the background.

Of course, children change interests all the time. A five-year-old who loves singing today could decide years later to become something completely different. That happens often. Still, people enjoy the idea of musical talent passing naturally through generations.

And honestly, Nigerian entertainment history already has several examples of creative families producing multiple stars.

What makes this particular story interesting is that both parents are respected musicians with very different strengths. Adekunle Gold is known for blending Afrobeats, highlife, and soulful storytelling, while Simi has built a reputation for emotional songwriting and a soft but distinctive vocal style.

If their daughter truly develops musical abilities later on, she would probably grow up surrounded by experience, guidance, and opportunities many young artists can only dream about.

Still, there is no indication the couple plans to push her into entertainment. At least nothing suggests that yet. Adekunle Gold sounded more observant than ambitious while speaking about it. Like a father noticing patterns rather than trying to create a child star.

And perhaps that is the healthier way to look at it.

For now, fans seem mostly happy seeing the couple continue building a family while balancing successful music careers. In an industry that can sometimes feel chaotic, their relationship still appears surprisingly steady. Not perfect, obviously, because no relationship really is, but steady enough that people keep rooting for them.
